Windsor, Ca - The Cardinal Newman Volleyball Team wrapped up the North Bay League Title with a road win over second place Windsor. The Cardinals remain undefeated in league play at 9-0.

The Cardinals won in a sweep 3-0, led by Kimi Waller with 21 kills on the night. Waller stepped up defensively also with 12 digs. Cassie Taylor had a big night for Newman with 11 killls, 10 digs and 3 aces. Ali Farquhar contributed to the victory as well with 4 kills and 3 blocks. Setter Julia Waller did a nice job distributing the ball with 34 assists.

Anna Waller was proud of her team hard work in earning the NBL Oak Championship, "Our team has worked very hard for this moment. They have stayed disciplined in training each day and tonight we executed our game plan. Winning the NBL Oak Division has been a goal from the start of the season. We highly respect all the Oak Division programs and we are proud of this great accomplishment. As we look ahead and prepare for the post season our goal is to bring home Cardinal Newman's first North Coast Section title."
Newman is 24-4 overall and hosts Montgomery Thursday night at the John Fitzgerald Gymnasium.
