Senior Cienna Alvarez rises up for a powerful serve

The Cardinal Newman varsity volleyball team delivered a strong performance on the road Thursday night, defeating Vintage in four sets. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 2–6 on the season, while Vintage drops to 0–2.

After a tight opening-set loss, the Cardinals regrouped and controlled the next three sets behind standout hitting and aggressive serving.

Senior Cienna Alvarez, in a special homecoming match at her former school, powered the offense with 20 kills.
