Landon Rota gave the Cardinals yet another quality start, going 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits, and no runs while notching 7 strikeouts.

Evan Sandoval pitched 1 inning each in relief to close things out.
The win gives Newman its 21st win on the year without a loss. the Nationally ranked Cardinals will close out the regular season with a 2 game series with Windsor next Wednesday and Friday.

Rota faced little opposition, throwing just 65 pitches, while scattering the 3 hits. Sandoval pitched a perfect 7th inning earning the save.
Wilson, Niehaus and Lazark all had 2 hits for Newman, all singles in fact Newman had no extra base hits on the day.
