Novato, Ca -  Under the lights at San Marin HS the Cardinals scored 2 in 2nd and 2 in the 5th en-route to 5-2 victory. 

Callie Howard struck out 10 Mustangs and went the distance to earn the pitching victory.  Sarah Khoury had 3 hits and 3 RBI to lead the way offensively.

Newman outhit San Marin just 9-8 but Howard came up with some big strikeouts when needed, to get out of trouble throughout the night.

Nicole Dimarco and Ava Walters each had RBIs for Newman, while Izzy Kunimune scored twice on the night.

Newman is now 5-1 on the year. They are scheduled to play Windsor at Windsor on Monday.
