The journey to another league championship was as rewarding as any in recent memory. The departure of the two best golfers in the county led uncertainty entering the 2023 season. Without missing a beat, new faces stepped in and continued the impressive legacy of the Cardinal Newman girls golf program by completing an undefeated regular season. The year kicked off with a non-league victory over NBL Redwood league champion, Analy High School, and never let up winning each league match by at least a whopping 63 shots! This strong play led to another NBL Oak league title and a 2nd place finish in the Division 2 NCS Championship.
Two exceptional players continued on as Ella Foley (77), and Keely Collins (82), qualified as individuals and competed in the D1 championship the following week at Tilden Park GC in Berkeley. The best players from the greater bay area were on hand and both Ella and Keely performed admirably by besting more than half of the competition.

For the third consecutive year, the Fountaingrove Club has been a strong supporter of both the girls and boys golf teams. We sincerely thank them for welcoming us in and offering the premier home course for high school golf in Sonoma County.
17 players represented the Cardinal Newman girls golf program in 2023, bringing our 3-year total during for coach Reddy to 54. This is quite the display of enthusiasm for the sport and for each other, as coaches witness the family connection felt among the team on a daily basis, creating a positive team atmosphere that is truly wonderful to see.
