The Cardinal Newman Cardinals continued their success as they secured a resounding victory over the Santa Rosa Panthers in three sets, on Thursday night at Santa Rosa.

The first set saw the Cardinals dominating with a score of 25-10.  The second set was closer and ended with a score of 25-23, but Cardinal Newman managed to edge out the Panthers thanks to the combined efforts and team play.

With a final score of 25-15 in the third set, the Cardinal Newman Cardinals claimed yet another straight sets victory, moving their season record to an impressive 25-5

Julia Waller was on fire, recording an impressive 11 kills and 19 assists, along with 4 aces, setting the tone for the road win. Her strong hits and precise sets were on display throughout the match.

Tessa Taylor, with her 7 kills, made crucial plays that kept the Cardinals momentum, as she continues to improve as a strong outside hitter.. 
Kimmy Wilson's finesse in both setting and attacking was also key. She contributed 5 kills, 10 assists, and 3 aces.   Marina Logan also chipped in with 5 kills, adding to the team's offensive power.

The serving game was impressive with the entire team combining for a remarkable 15 aces. Their strong serves disrupted the Panthers' defense and made it challenging for them to keep pace with the  Cardinals 

Coach Daryl Kapis highlighted the exceptional performance of libero, Caroline Dougherty whose fantastic passing set up the offense, which allowed Newman to run the middle hitters all night. He emphasized the significance of the entire team's contributions, illustrating how collective effort and unity led to their success.

The Cardinals look forward to the last week of league play and then its on to the NCS playoffs.,
