Windsor scored 5 times in the top of the first and then held on for a 5-4 victory at Newman on Tuesday.  All 5 runs were scored with 2 outs by the Jags as they collected 5 hits.  Newman hit a batter and committed one error to contribute to the tough start.

Newman came back with 2 in the 4th and 2 in the 6th but could not mount a rally in the 7th to drop their first league game of the year.

In the 4th CN ripped back-to-back doubles by Jack Lazark and and Vero Poueu to make it 5-2. In the 6th Gavin Rognlien single to plate 2 more for the final score.

The same teams meet Thursday at Windsor in a game that will determine the League Champion and seeding for the NBL post season tournament.
