Trailing 3-2 going to the bottom of the 3rd Newman softball rallied for 1to tie, then erupted for 4 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th to defeat West County at home 9-3.
The bottom of the lineup came up big as Ava Walters, Sarah Khoury and Francesca Hart all had 2 hits a piece.

Paytin Salfi and Tori Leighton each had doubles and scored 5 times between them. In all the Newman offense racked up 12 hits

Hart pitched the first 4 innings and Mackenzie Dennis closed it out  as the Newman defense was stellar on the day.

The Cardinals have won 3 in a row and are now 5-2.
