The Newman Softball team pulls off a big road win today at Rancho Cotate High School in extra innings.  Tied 7-7 after 7 the Cardinals scored 2 in teh top of the 10th and held on for a 9-8 victory.  Mackenzie Dennis pitching the final 2 to get the win in relief.

Paytin Salfi had 3 hits and scored 3 runs for the Cardinals.  Dennis added 4 hits, including a home run and drove n 2 for CN.  Sarah Khoury had a big day with 2 hits and 3 RBI.

All in all Newman pounded out 16 hits.

The Cardinals are now 4-2 and host West County on Thursday afternoon.
