Both Cardinal Newman doubles Teams advanced to the Thursday Semi-Finals at Santa Rosa high School.   Kailyn Smith and Izzy Blakely (3rd Seed) faced off against Carrillo's top team and the number 1 seed.  They fought hard but lost in straight sets- 6-3, 6-1.

The un-seeded team of Suzanna Hextrum and Sophia Manville however, pulled off an upset by defeating Windsor's top team and the 4th seed- 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.  With strong serving by Manville and great net play by Hextrum, the team continued to improve throughout the tourney to advance to the semi-finals.  

In the semis they took Carrillo's number 2 team the distance before finally falling- 6-0, 4-6, 6-0.

This set up a third place matchup between the two Newman teams.  Hextrum and Manville continued to play well and rallied to defeat their teammates in another upset- 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.

A great showing by both teams to make it to the semi-finals and represent Cardinal Newman Tennis..
