The CN Women's Tennis Team opened up the NBL season with a convincing 6-1 victory over visiting Windsor High School. Junior standout
Sophia Manville, led the Cardinals (1-0 NBL, 3-0 overall), with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Jaguar senior and last year's 1st Team All-League singles player, Maia Rafidison, at the number one singles position.
"Sophia served really well, stayed patient from the backcourt and kept the pressure on throughout the match" commented Cardinal head coach, Rich Aguirre.
The Jaguars lone victory came at #2 doubles, where they won in a close 3rd set tiebreak.
