San Diego, Calif-  The Cardinal Newman Women's Basketball Team made a huge statement, as they went undefeated at 4-0, claiming the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic Championship. Facing top competition, the Cardinals rose to the occasion and swept through the classic, playing great team basketball and defense.  The team came together and paid attention to detail.  Toughness and poise in pressure situations, with great Senior leadership was apparent throughout the week.

The Cardinals are now 13-2 and #9 in the State on Maxpreps computer rankings!   

They visit Carrillo to open up NBL Oak play Thursday night, before traveling to Mater Dei for a showcase game on Saturday vs Brentwood of LA.
