San Francisco, Ca - On Friday, the CN women's tennis team dropped their first match of the year to perennial powerhouse Lick-Wilmerding of San Francisco. The 2019 NCS team

champion Lick-Wilmerding did not drop a single set on their home courts sweeping the Cardinals 7-0.
The Cardinals gave solid efforts across all matches, but had standout play by junior
Suzanna Hextrum at #3 singles, freshman Liz Negri at #4 singles and the #2 doubles team of juniors
Isabella Finnerty and
Mackenzie Dennis.
The Cardinals look to rebound this week playing at Ukiah on Tuesday and at Montgomery on Thursday. The Cardinals are now 3-1 overall and 3-0 in league play.
